Thanks for listening to our Winter Recordings 23/24.

So much of our world is polished, airbrushed and incredibly impressive. Even within the church, we can become so conditioned to this perfection that we don’t have capacity for the ‘work in progress’. What you’re listening to (or going to listen to) is the work in progress. It’s the rough draft, the first or second take. Yes, we’ve tried our best to make these songs sound the best they can, but you’ll hear a few wrong notes and missed keys.

Ultimately, this is a collection of homegrown songs written by a few City Lights songwriters in an attempt to express their love and worship to Jesus through music. Honestly, whether you like these songs or not isn’t really the point; what is important is that you can hear the worship of ordinary women and men.
